Yolanda Piliego passed away at the age of 92 on Monday, March 10th, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was the embodiment of a beautiful soul. She dedicated her life to caring for others — her ill sister, her parents, her children, and her grandchildren. Yolanda was the devoted wife to Anthony, beloved mother to Maria and Louis and mother-in-law to Joseph, and beloved and doting grandmother to Christine and Jenna.
For many years, Yolanda worked at a nursing home, always finding ways to give and help those in need. Even into her 90s, she volunteered at her local Peter Cardella Senior Center in Ridgewood, working the front desk and organizing bingo games. She had no desire to slow down and loved spending the time with her friends at the center. Her hard work and dedication ultimately earned her a seat on the board.
While she may not have lived a life of luxury, Yolanda possessed a wealth that many people never experience: happiness. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—spending time with her family, playing bingo, crocheting, solving crossword puzzles, and indulging in scratch-off tickets. She attended church regularly and always made an effort to be there for the people she loved.
