Rika Tuelang

Rika Anekhe Tuelang, (63) passed away on November 20th 2023, at her home. She was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and was the third child of six and the only daughter of Willem and Amerenthia Tuelang. She graduated from SMEA Negeri XI Jakarta, Indonesia (1980). She was employed by Louis Berger International Inc. as an Office Manager. She was a member of GPIB Gideon JKT-Indonesia serving as a Sunday school and youth teacher (1980-2000). In 2001, she moved to the United States and served as an elder for the Presbyterian Church of Indonesia and the GPI NY Church. She joined BECC NY in 2005 and served as a Sunday school teacher until her body fell ill in 2020. She was infamously known to her loved ones as "Lady Gaga" for her theatrics, her vibrant and colorful personality. She is survived by her daughter, Joanne Tuelang, her brothers, Richard Tuelang and Yohanes Tuelang. 

The funeral will be held on Sunday, November 26th at 5pm at D'Angelo's Funeral Home, 64-18 Flushing Ave, Queens, NY. The viewing visitations will be held from 4-8.
