John Vincent Accardi

John Vincent Accardi of Queens, New York, passed away January 22, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of thoughtfulness, loyalty, and love that will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his daughter Caroline, stepdaughter Mala (Will), former wife Raywattie, nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren.

A lifelong and devoted New York Mets fan, John followed the team with passion and pride, sharing stories, opinions, and hope season after season. Yet it was his devotion to people that truly defined him.

John had a remarkable gift for remembering others. He never forgot a birthday, was often the very first to wish friends and family a Happy New Year and believed deeply in staying connected. He especially loved sending handwritten letters through the mail. Each note thoughtful, personal, and filled with care.

John will be remembered for his kindness, his reliability, and the way he made people feel remembered and valued. His traditions, stories, his love will live on through his family and the many lives he touched.
