Ignazio Gino Treppiedi

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ignazio Gino Treppiedi, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in Vicari, Sicily, on March 20, 1932, Gino was a proud Sicilian and a skilled Barber by trade. When he came to the United States he was determined to make a beautiful life with his wife.  He worked and retired from Brooklyn Union Gas Company. He was a fourth degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was also a proud member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, FL.  His warmth, dedication, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was the devoted husband of 63 years to Carmela “Millie” Treppiedi, and a loving father to Salvatore (Lesley), Joseph (Francesca), and Vincenza Frances (Jose). Gino was a proud grandfather to Calle (Steven), Luca, Sadie Rose (great-grandfather to Lily), Maritza, and Jose.

He is also survived by his brother Sebastiano (Piera), and his sister Francesca (preceded in death by her husband Charles). Preceded in death by his brother in law Giuseppe Sciulara. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his friends.

Gino’s life was one of hard work, family, faith, and quiet strength. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those he loved. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Gino’s memory lives on in all who knew and loved him. We will miss his quiet wisdom, generous heart, and the love he gave so freely.
